Stone Fundraiser- Mr. Cain talked about the stone fundraiser and suggested that we hold off on this until the spring since the weather is changing so quickly. Everyone agreed on this.
Principal’s Report - Principal John Cain
Mr Cain stated that with the new quarter starting soon around 30 students will be switching from 100% online to the hybrid model. He noted that there are kids in the hybrid model that are not or unable to participate in class on their online learning days. He would like to be able to get some of those kids back in the school more days. Mr. Cain responded to a question on if teachers were feeling more comfortable being back. He stated that some are still anxious, but overall stress seems to have reduced as everyone is getting into a routine. The dismissal procedure was discussed and the group seems to think it is going well. In response to a question regarding participation in “specials” for hybrid model kids, Mr. Cain said that they are currently not mandatory. This will change at the beginning of 2nd quarter though. Each special will need to be participated in at least once every two weeks for the hybrid model kids and twice every two weeks for the 100% online model kids.
